Piotr Łuszcz known as Magik (pol. Magician) (born March 18, 1978 in Jelenia Góra - died December 26, 2000 in Katowice) - Polish rapper, composer and a record producer. From 1994 to 1998 he was a member of the Polish hip hop group Kaliber 44.
Soon after release of the group's second album "W 63 minuty dookoła świata" Magik left Kaliber 44 and together with Sebastian Salbert (Rahim) and Wojciech Alszer (Fokus) formed new band in 1998 called "Paktofonika". On 26 December 2000, at around 6:15, Łuszcz committed suicide by jumping out of the window of his apartment situated on the ninth floor of the building, in Katowice. At around 6:45, he was pronounced dead in a local hospital, leaving his wife Justyna, and a 3-year old son, Filip.[1]
